The Centre is a community based non-governmental charitable organization, established in 2013 at NGONG Mathare slums.
It provides care to children in need, including those living on the street and addicted youths to drugs regardless of their religion, race or tribe through education, talent identification, and nurturing their personal capabilities. The Centre’s work is aimed at enabling children and young adults to have access to education, explore their talents and teaching them to be self-reliant and, hopefully, become future leading professionals in various disciplines. The Centre deploys multiple educational tools and activities, proactive talent and psychosocial support and vocational training.
Currently, the Centre’s social project is providing care, formal and informal education, shelter and meals to 92 boys. It aims at giving the youngsters direction and understanding of how to be able to confront challenges of the adult life in the future. The project’s goal is to seek out, rescue, rehabilitate and offer formal education, social and technical training to these young people, nourish and develop their potential and afterwards facilitate their transition back to the society.
